Dr. Maleah Ermac is a dedicated primary care naturopathic physician with over 15 years of experience serving diverse communities in the Portland metropolitan area. She completed a three-year family medicine residency at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), where she developed a strong foundation in acute care, sexual and reproductive health, gender affirming care, pharmaceutical management, and chronic disease management.

 

As an Associate Professor and Attending Physician at NUNM, Dr. Ermac is deeply involved in clinical education. She supervises primary care clinical rotations at the Lair Hill Health Center and teaches a course on transgender health and gender-affirming hormone therapy. Dr. Ermac is passionate about training the next generation of physicians to provide compassionate, evidence-informed, and inclusive care.

 

Her work emphasizes practical clinical skills and culturally responsive medicine, especially in areas often underserved by the healthcare system. Throughout her career, Dr. Ermac has worked in a wide range of community health settings, where she’s known for her patient-centered approach and commitment to health equity.

 

When she’s not in the clinic or classroom, Dr. Ermac enjoys spending time in the kitchen as an avid home cook and unwinding with her two sweet dogs.
