Types of Care We Offer

One of our goals at HLC is consistency of care. We offer a membership/community non-profit model because we believe that relationships are important. Not just the relationship you have with a provider, but also the connection between your providers and staff. Access to primary care, complementary modalities, and mental healthcare is a universal right. We want to make sure that we offer these three limbs of healthcare so you don't have to seek other providers, navigate waitlists, and visit multiple clinics. Also, our providers are able to collaborate to support our members with the best, most informed, type of care possible.

Primary Care

We offer primary care through the licensure and practice of western modalities, naturopathy, and osteopathy.

We offer yearly wellness exams, prescription management, contraception management, and urgent care appointments to support you with all your healthcare needs.

Our providers have a range of specialties including gynecology, gender affirming care, gastrointestinal disorders, hematology and oncology, holistic pelvic care, thyroid disorders and adrenal dysfunction, specialty lab testing, and botanical medicine. You can learn more about our providers here.

We will collaborate with other specialists, refer out to specialists, and help you navigate both prevention and disease management. Included in this are supportive services such as nutrition therapy, IV therapy, and neural therapy.

Complementary Modalities

While "Alternative Care" may be considered primary care in some communities, we are leaning on the language of "Complementary" to Western/Allopathic modalities.

At HLC we offer complementary modalities including services such as biofeedback, cranial sacral body work, energy work, somatic experiencing, process work and dream work.

We strongly believe that there is healing in the narratives we hold and the beneficial support of narrative medicine.

Much of the complementary work we offer is rooted in a member-empowered framework. We work with members to explore a deeper layer of dialogue with our bodies / minds / spirits to explore what tools, narratives, and wisdom may support in finding balance and health.

Integrative Mental Healthcare

Mental health is an important part of physical, emotional, spiritual health and overall well-being.

With roots in ancient wisdom and science, integrative mental health is a field that blends conventional and complementary approaches together.  Working closely with our providers, members are able to explore a number of approaches such as: lifestyle, nutrition, movement, stress reduction, psychotherapy, supplements and medications.

We take into account the many factors that can impact upon our emotional wellbeing:

  • Relationships

  • Stress & Trauma

  • Psychoneuroimmunological factors

  • Mind-Body & Gut-Brain Health

  • Sleep

  • Endocrine (hormonal and metabolic influences)

  • Feelings, thoughts, beliefs and habits

  • Environmental factors

  • Cultural and spiritual beliefs and practices

.

At HLC, we support who you are and what you may be navigating with honoring and non-judgmental approaches which recognize the wisdom of all ways of being and coping. We are individually and collectively learning to do this better everyday by enhancing how we show up towards a more trauma informed practice with a culture that focuses on deep care.

Together we can grow a healthy community and demonstrate that a different approach to delivering healthcare is possible.
